Released as the lead single from the album 1984 , "Jump" is Van Halen's biggest commercial success, reaching the top of the US Billboard Hot 100, where it remained for five weeks. The song was ranked 15th on VH1's list of "100 Greatest Songs of the '80s," and was also included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll."
