In an interview on the TV show King 5 , Nancy Wilson , co-founder of Heart , spoke about one of the band's biggest hits, the song "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You".
This 90s classic tells the story of a one-night stand and reverses gender roles, where the woman assumes a posture generally associated with men, doing things like offering a ride to a stranger and sneaking away after a night of love.
The song was a worldwide hit, but one country in particular wasn't happy with Heart's approach to the subject. "That was our biggest global hit, and we reversed the gender in the song, and it was instantly banned in Ireland because it was the story of a woman doing what a man would normally do. We were kind of proud to be banned in Ireland," commented Nancy.
Wilson also commented on his first solo album, You and Me , and spoke about the track “4 Edward,” a composition in homage to Eddie Van Halen that has a touching story . “Finding what [the song] should be was challenging, but sweet in the end. And it was also right after he left us. The dedication and motivation were all there,” he recounts.
