Chuck Schuldiner , the eternal vocalist of Death and godfather of the death metal style, did a cover of Madonna released in 1998.

Chris Steele , Chuck's nephew, found a long-lost demo of the late musician playing "Frozen." Chris posted a video on Death's Instagram showing the found CD with the caption below:

“I found this today while going through some things. Chuck recorded this at the beginning of his battle with cancer, I remember it well. Chuck sitting in his room with his tape recorder and a drum machine. I don't know how many people besides family and a few friends have heard it, but it's all his. Chuck's version of Madonna's 1998 single 'Frozen'.”

In the posted video, Chris Steele inserts a CD titled "Frozen" into his car stereo and plays the instrumental track, which features a melancholic guitar sound recreating the vocal melody of the pop song.

In 2001, Chuck Schuldiner died of brain cancer at the age of 34.
