Bronze statue of Chris Cornell unveiled in Seattle.

The opening ceremony was attended by friends and family of the musician.

The late Chris Cornell was honored in his hometown of Seattle, USA, with a life-size bronze statue.

The artwork was commissioned by the vocalist's widow, Vicky Cornell, and will be on display at the Museum of Pop Culture. A ceremony was held to celebrate the installation, attended by family and friends of the musician, including the remaining members of Soundgarden .

The tribute was created by visual artist Nick Marra. Below you can see some photos and a video showing a part of the ceremony.

Chris Cornell was found dead in May 2017 after committing suicide in a hotel room in Detroit.
