The opening ceremony was attended by friends and family of the musician.

The late Chris Cornell was honored in his hometown of Seattle, USA, with a life-size bronze statue.

The artwork was commissioned by the vocalist's widow, Vicky Cornell, and will be on display at the Museum of Pop Culture. A ceremony was held to celebrate the installation, attended by family and friends of the musician, including the remaining members of Soundgarden .

The tribute was created by visual artist Nick Marra. Below you can see some photos and a video showing a part of the ceremony.
