Chris Adler breaks his silence and speaks about leaving Lamb of God.

The musician revealed that leaving the band was not his idea.

Chris Adler hadn't toured with Lamb of God since 2017 after suffering a motorcycle accident, but it was still a shock when, in July, he announced he was leaving the group , being replaced by Art Cruz , who had been on the road with them.

At the time of the announcement, Lamb of God released a short and objective statement, and Adler has not commented until now. Last Wednesday, the 23rd, the drummer, who is currently playing with HAIL!, spoke about what happened in a Facebook post.

“We dedicated 26 years of our lives. Each of us sacrificed a lot of our personal lives to live our childhood dream. I will always love all the band members for believing in me. We managed to find love in it, but it seems like there are things that aren't enough.”

Adler suggests that leaving the band permanently wasn't his idea: “I didn't decide to give up my dream. I didn't make the decision to give up the work of my life.” He also goes on to say that leaving the band is unrelated to his accident, “I've been feeling good since August 2018.”

“There are different concepts for 'selling out' and I can't define it for anyone but myself, but I know that getting stuck in a 'creative formula' and/or playing the same song 10,000 times doesn't keep my love for music alive.”
