Alexandre Magno Abrão , better known as Chorão , is being honored with a graffiti exhibition on canvas in the city of São Paulo. The exhibition is a partnership between Kiss FM and the Fábricas de Cultura (Culture Factories) in the East Zone, São Bernardo, and Santos.
The 13 works of art were inspired by the hit compositions of the late Charlie Brown Jr. and skateboarder. Furthermore, the musician's death from a cocaine overdose is marking its tenth anniversary.
"With this initiative, Kiss FM and the cultural centers of the region seek to keep Chorão's memory alive and celebrate his legacy in music and skate culture. Furthermore, the urban art exhibition is an opportunity for graffiti artists from the region to showcase their talent and creativity to the general public," revealed the press release.
The exhibition "Graffiti on Canvas in 'Homage to the Winged Marginal'" is open to the public and can be visited at the Central Park 2200 building, on Avenida Paulista, until April 14th. The location is the entrance hall of the broadcasting station.
