Children Of Bodom will release a self-titled book in August that tells the entire story of the band from the perspective of four members: Alexander Kuoppala (guitar), Henkka Seppälä (bass), Jaska Raatikainen (drums), and Janne Wirman (keyboards). The publication is a tribute to the band's journey and to the memory of its vocalist Alexi Laiho, who passed away in 2020.
“Since we stopped playing and lost our brother Alexi, we’ve reminisced about many incredible moments together. Now, you can learn about those stories in this book,” the musicians stated.
The book will be available in two versions: the standard edition and the Signature Edition , which includes original autographs from the participating members. Both contain the same information. Pre-orders are now open.
The band's last show took place on December 15, 2019, at the Ice Hall in Helsinki. The performance resulted in the live album A Chapter Called… Children Of Bodom .
Alexi Laiho died in December 2020 at the age of 41. The cause of death was attributed to liver and pancreatic complications.
