The track is the first release from the new album, Hexed , scheduled for March 2019.
Recently, the band Children of Bodom announced that they will be releasing their 10th studio album, Hexed . Now, the first single has been revealed.
“Under Grass and Clover” features all the basic elements of a Children of Bodom song: strong guitars and the surprising vocals of frontman Alexi Laiho . To accompany the single's release, the band released a music video. In it, Laiho and his colleagues are shown performing for a sweaty audience in a rock bar.
Speaking about the track, Laiho revealed it to be his favorite so far, “It’s fast, melodic, heavy and dark, but also short and sweet. Someone told me it sounds like something Dimmu Borgir used to do and that’s really cool. We did something right.”
Hexed will be released on March 8th by Nuclear Blast and is a collaboration between Children of Bodom and producer Mikko Karmila, who has worked on several other albums by the band. The album will be available in physical formats (CD and vinyl) and digitally on streaming platforms. You can already pre-order a copy of the album by clicking here .
