Children Of Bodom launches sock collection; see models

Drummer Jaska Raatikainen participates in a humorous commercial to promote a product

Children Of Bodom has released an unusual item in the band's official merchandise. In addition to more common products like t-shirts, posters, and hoodies, fans of the metal group can now purchase a collection of official socks.

“There’s a first time for everything. Here are the Children Of Bodom socks,” jokes the announcement on the band’s website. The collection includes five different designs, printed with the covers of the group’s albums: Something Wild (1997), Hatebreeder (1999), the live album Tokyo Warhearts (1999), Follow the Reaper (2000) and Hate Crew Deathroll (2003).

The socks cost $18, about R$100 at the current exchange rate. Fans who buy the kit with all the models, priced at US$78 (just over R$438), save money on each item.

To promote the launch, drummer Jaska Raatikainen participates in a humorous commercial where he tries out all the models.

In December 2020, the band lost vocalist Alexi Laiho , who died at the age of 41. Formed in 1993, Children of Bodom had announced their separation the previous year, after the release of Hexed , their tenth and final studio album .
