With nearly 50 years in the business, Cheap Trick has just released their 20th studio album, In Another World. The album follows a fun vibe and was recorded about a year and a half ago, before the start of the pandemic. Previously, the singles “ Light Up The Fire ” and “ Boys & Girls & Rock And Roll ” had already been released.
In a statement, the band spoke a little about the new project. “We’ve always been a band with a positive, hopeful outlook, even when we were being ironic. But now that we’re getting older, we see that we don’t have much to celebrate around us,” they wrote. Guitarist Rick Nielsen , however, presented a more optimistic view and commented at the time that he feels like “the youngest guy in the world” when he plays his music.
Recently, vocalist Robin Zander was a guest on Wikimetal Happy Hour Wikimetal co-founder Nando Machado. The two talked about In Another World, Cheap Trick's personal relationship with the Beatles , and much more. Watch the full interview here.
