Chaos and Death Tour brought metal to the interior of São Paulo.

Neuróticos, NervoChaos and Funeratus played in Mococa, in the interior of São Paulo

The bands Neuróticos , NervoChaos, and Funeratus have been touring the country with the Chaos and Death Tour Brasil 2024. Last Wednesday they presented death metal in Mococa, in the interior of São Paulo. The chosen venue was the nearly century-old Pedro Ângelo Camin Municipal Theater in the city center.

This year's tour began in Campinas, but has already covered the central-west and northern regions of Brazil. By visiting cities in Acre, Rondônia, and Mato Grosso, it spreads the power of death metal throughout the country, even to remote places. After Mococa, the tour continues.

Death metal takes over the historic theater in the interior

The first band to perform was Neuróticos, a band formed in Japan, but which maintains a very close relationship with Brazil since its founders, brothers Bruno and Kleber, were born here. This is not the band's first time in Brazil; they have participated in other tours and festivals, always bringing the most brutal death metal with them.

Next, NervoChaos took the stage, a band already well-known in the underground metal scene with almost 30 years on the road. Besides their already familiar songs, they mentioned they are preparing a covers album and took the opportunity to perform some of their own during the show.

Finally, it was Funeratus' turn, a band formed in Mococa in 1993. Playing at home with friends, family, and their children has a special flavor for the veteran band that has always been faithful to the death metal style. The musicians emphasized the importance of receiving recognition in their hometown. The band's show featured another local musician, keyboardist Fábio Laguna , who has played with Angra and currently works with Edu Falaschi .

On a Wednesday, gathering an audience of all ages to enjoy underground death metal bands in a small town shows that rock is still alive. Therefore, its audience renews itself every year; all it takes is the opportunity to see them. The tour continues through several cities in São Paulo and Minas Gerais.
