Celtic Frost reveals they hated Metallica's cover: "it was humiliating"

On May 10th, the group performed in Switzerland and, as part of the tradition, Kirk Hammett and Rob Trujillo chose a song originating from the country to play. “The Usurper” was criticized by the singer, who told Rolling Stone that he did not approve of the version.

“Why don’t they just leave their millionaire fingers out of this? They’ve already lost the ability to play Metal, in my opinion. Maybe I should go on stage and do a really miserable version of ‘Hit the Light’ with, like, 200 mistakes to balance it out (…) Even if they had done a fantastic job, I could still vomit on it. Because I don’t support people who hunt bears as a hobby. I can’t respect someone like that, even if they’re a musical genius.”
