Max and Iggor Cavalera , founding members of Sepultura , shared the announcement of the re-recording of the band's third album, Schizophrenia , which will be released on June 21st by Nuclear Blast Records.
This is the third re-recording by the brothers, which apparently follows the chronological order of the albums, with Schizophrenia the band's third work, originally released in 1987. "Escape to the Void," the first track from the new album, was chosen to be released as a single.

Statements and plans related to the project.
Max Cavalera stated in a press release: “The Third World Trilogy is finally complete with Schizophrenia , Bestial Devastation , and Morbid Visions , all three gems of the Brazilian underground! For me, Schizophrenia is the ultimate death/thrash experiment! This album is for all generations to enjoy! Play it at maximum volume!”
Iggor Cavalera added: “1987 was a very progressive year for metal, with releases like Celtic Frost ’s Into The Pandemonium , Voivod ’s Killing Technology , and Bathory’s Under the Sign of the Black Mark . So, it was no surprise how we approached Schizophrenia , pushing our boundaries from a black/death metal sound to a more thrash metal aesthetic.”
For the new recording, the band features Max and Iggor Cavalera, as well as Travis Stone (Pig Destroyer) on lead guitar and Igor Amadeus Cavalera , Max's son, on bass.
The brothers will tour under the name Cavalera to promote the new album, with shows in the UK and Europe this year.
