Catalau, former lead singer of Golpe de Estado, expresses support for Trump and Bolsonaro.

"As crude as Bolsonaro may be, he's honest. He has some rather unruly offspring, but he's a captain."

André Catalau , former lead singer of the band Golpe de Estado and currently a pastor at the Bola de Neve church in Orlando, USA, spoke about his political opinions.

Catalou was born in the United States and recently moved back to the country. In an interview with UOL, the vocalist spoke about politics in the US and Brazil.

"For someone who had Ronald Reagan as president, Trump is a piece of cake . Reagan wanted to wage Star Wars with the Russians during the Cold War. Trump is a pushover compared to him. I love him. I think he's a fine person. He's a Republican, and I'm a Republican. Trump is pure wisdom. The guy is rough, but how do you govern the greatest nation in the world? By asking for favors? It's orders, end of story."

Catalau also spoke about President Jair Bolsonaro:

“He wants to follow Trump's lead, but it's a very different reality from the United States. Here, these guys have the resources to handle things. Bolsonaro will have to dismantle a gang. As crude as he may be, he's honest. He has some rather unruly offspring, but he's a captain. Military men are very strict with themselves. I know because I had a military father who was absurdly honest,” he says. “He's crude, man! But I prefer that to a liar. At least I know who he is. I support him. It's hard for him to hide a lie. The rest are all a bunch of liars. I hate lies.”
