In a world where immediacy and anxiety are sources of some of the main psychological ills affecting human beings in their individuality and in their social interactions, art becomes increasingly necessary as an open source for discussion on topics that need more visibility and that have been neglected for so long, to the point that it has become common to ignore them or not treat them with due importance.
With this perspective in mind, Castellica Moment of Glory on July 29th , this time for the song "Nightcrawlers". After exploring more historical themes in their previous videos, "Holy Knight" and "Warriors", Castellica returns in their new work with absolutely contemporary themes rarely explored so openly in heavy metal: insomnia, anxiety, and depression.
“Nightcrawlers” premiered at the 16th edition of the Roadie Crew Online Festival, taking a completely responsible approach and featuring the support of psychoanalyst and psychopedagogue Bianca Marinho Pereira and psychologist Janaina Marinho Pereira , who open the video with a discussion about the song's main theme: insomnia. Produced by Pentágono Filmes and directed by Matheus Suzuki , Castellica opted for a more home-style recording, aiming to realistically portray the anguish of a person dealing with the nocturnal demons of anxiety and insomnia.
Thiago Colavite , vocalist of Castellica, commented on the band's release: “The 'Nightcrawlers' music video was highly anticipated by us. The song addresses such an important theme, especially in these times, and we believe it's necessary to tackle this topic. The character in the video suffers from insomnia and depression and confronts her night demons by wandering around the house, using methods harmful to her health to try to mask and cope with it. However, along with the lyrics, we want to convey the message that despite all this suffering, another day always comes, with the chance to start over.”
In addition to Thiago Colavite, the Castellica lineup is completed by guitarists Danilo and Lucas Colavite , bassist Marco Dower , and drummer Claudio Caldeirão . The music video for "Nightcrawlers" is already available on the band's YouTube channel and can be viewed below:
