Nothing More , an American band from Texas, released their seventh album, Carnal, . The band, formed in 2003, now consists of vocalist Jonny Hawkins , guitarist Mark Vollelunga , bassist Daniel Oliver , and drummer Ben Anderson . This time, the alternative metal band's album comprises ten songs and five interludes.

The album was produced by Grammy-nominated WZRD BLD , who has worked with several musicians in the scene, including Disturbed , Motionless In White , and A Day To Remember . As with their other albums, the lyrics deal with the personal struggles of its members, such as the death of the vocalist's mother from cancer. In addition, they address political and social issues.

An eclectic album full of collaborations

This is a very diverse album featuring several guest appearances. Right after the first interlude, we have the first song, which features Eric Vanlerberghe from I Prevail and is called "House On Sand." A heavy and personality-filled song that kicks the album off with a bang.

The most listened-to song from the album so far is "If It Doesn't Hurt," which has a more pop feel and deals with emotional conflicts. Similarly, "Blame It on the Drugs" showcases less aggressive melodies and easy-to-sing lyrics. "Run For Your Life" is another example of this facet of the band.

vocalist David Draiman features on the excellent track "Angel Song," showcasing his unique style. The chorus, where everyone sings along, is also a highlight. But the vocalist wasn't the only one on the album; on the track "Stuck," rapper Sinizte joins the band for a visceral performance.

Nothing More has released an album that promises to please fans of the band, but also features tracks with the potential to attract new ones. By mixing more commercial tracks with others full of energy, they create a balanced and interesting seventh album.
