A sudden illness led to the death of Carlos Eduardo Miranda
Producer Carlos Eduardo Miranda passed away today at the age of 56.
Miranda, as he was known, produced numerous Brazilian bands such as Raimundos, Toyshop, Skank, O Rappa, Virgulóides, among others.
Originally from Porto Alegre, Miranda also served as a judge on various programs such as Ídolos, Astros, and Qual É O Seu Talento?
The band Toyshop posted the following message on their Facebook page :
“RIP Miranda Carlos Garcia!
A great friend, producer, pioneer, visionary… a genius who always had the best ideas before everyone else!
With his Southern street smarts, it was impossible to be around him without having fun or learning something.
Toyshop (PARTY UP) had the honor of working with him during the Banguela Records days! He was involved with Viper mixing Maniacs in Japan, and was one of those responsible for the unforgettable and controversial Sepultura show at Praça Charles Miller, and Raimundos.
He always had a fun but extremely personal way of giving his opinion and creating great things from simple intuition.
He always said he was our fan.
And this is our tribute and gratitude, and it's reciprocal, it was hard not to be a fan of his… Rest in Peace, Old Man…”
Miranda was at home with her family when she suddenly fell ill and passed away. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.
