Carcass has confirmed that a new album will not be released in 2020, but the news doesn't stop there. To avoid leaving fans empty-handed, the group has decided to release an EP titled Despicable with four tracks.
“The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue” was the first song from the project to be released, and now “The Long and Winding Bier Road” follows suit. The EP will feature two more tracks that didn't make the final cut from past albums. “Never say we didn't give you anything,” said bassist and vocalist Jeff Walker when announcing the new release.
The song “The Long and Winding Bier Road” was originally intended for the 1996 album Swansong , but was ultimately left out of the final cut. Now, you can listen to it in its entirety below.
Despicable will be released on October 30th by Nuclear Blast. The EP is already available for pre-order at this link.
