The Portuguese-Brazilian band Capella has been generating great buzz since six experienced Brazilian musicians came together in Portugal with a common goal: to create a band to conquer the world. With such a bold aim in mind, only delivering high-quality music that lived up to expectations could truly do justice to the musicians' audacity in bringing something so grand to life. The response was immediate, delivered through the band's first single and music video, "Falling Nations," an epic and masterful song that immediately caught attention for its quality and the musicians' highly refined technique.
Motivated by the impact of their pilot song, Jota Fortinho (Vocals), André “Zaza” Hernandes and Pablo Romeu (Guitars), Gabriel Carvalho (Bass), Fabinho Jablonski (Keyboards) and Fernando Castagna (Drums) continued working on new compositions, even though they were hampered by the limitations imposed by a pandemic with global consequences placed before them.
Expectations only grew as news about the band emerged in the media, and the release of the second single fueled the anticipation even further. The powerful "Higher," with its vibrant feel, almost in the opposite direction from the first single, but still maintaining a very characteristic authenticity, presented us with a band full of possibilities.
Finally, on April 20th, the band released the culmination of all this hard work, and the result couldn't be anything less than excellent: Outside World , Capella's first EP! A varied and rich album, with compositions full of purpose, technique, and feeling, ranging from the belligerent and omnipotent "On the Wall," through the very Brazilian "Queen of the Lions," which overflows with feeling through its complex yet captivating passages, ending with the delightful and sentimental acoustic song "Feelings."
You can now check out Outside World through the band's website, Capella's YouTube channel, or through major digital platforms.
