Cannibal Corpse has released a statement regarding the recent arrest of guitarist Pat O'Brien .
O'Brien was accused of robbing and threatening a police officer with a knife. During the incident, the house he was renting caught fire. Neighbors reportedly said he had used a flamethrower.
According to the Tampa Bay Times , firefighters found a large quantity of weapons, safes, and explosive devices in the house. The collection included 50 shotguns, 10 semi-automatic rifles, and 20 pistols.
In the statement, the band commented on the incident, saying that "as individuals and as a band, we wish all the best to our friend and partner, Pat."
"Although we can't give more information about what happened, we wanted everyone to know that Pat is getting the help he needs and appreciates all the love and support he has received from Cannibal Corpse fans around the world."
The band also revealed that O'Brien is with his family and friends and that the band's plan to accompany Slayer on their farewell tour will continue.
