The band will release their first album with new vocalist Johan Längqvist
Swedish doom-metal band Candlemass will release their 12th studio album, The Door To Doom, on February 22nd via Napalm Records. The album features new vocalist Johan Längqvist , who replaced Mats Levén .
The Door To Doom will feature other artists such as Tony Iommi , who plays a solo on the track “Astorolus – The Great Octopus”. “Candlesmass is a great band and they’ve always talked about the influence we [Black Sabbath] had on their music,” says the guitarist.
Today, Candlemass consists of Längqvist, Leif Edling (bass), Mats “Mappe” Björkman (guitar), Jan Lindh (drums), and Lars “Lasse” Johansson (guitar). See below for the cover art and tracklist of the album The Door To Doom .
