Venus Concerts has announced the legendary American band Candlebox in São Paulo as one of the headliners for the Somos Rock Festival 2026. The event takes place on April 25th at Arena Anhembi, alongside many other major national and international acts, such as Spin Doctors , Revisiting Credence , Detonautas , and Biquini .
Straight from the Seattle scene that redefined rock in the 90s, Candlebox makes its Brazilian debut, choosing the Somos Rock Festival stage for this premiere. The show is part of a South American tour to be announced in the coming days, and the lineup will feature founding guitarist Peter Klett , who returns to the band.
Emerging from Seattle's vibrant grunge scene in the mid-1990s, Candlebox quickly achieved mainstream success with their deep melodies, driven by striking lyrics and powerful choruses. Anthems like "Far Behind" and "You," from their self-titled debut album, exploded on the charts and led the album to surpass four million copies sold worldwide.
Moving forward full steam ahead, with new tour dates in the United States and abroad, plus a new release on the way, these rock icons show no intention of slowing down anytime soon. And, for the legions of fans who have followed their long and illustrious career, that sounds like music to their ears.
