Camp Fire is the name given to the wildfire that occurs almost every year in California. It affects a wide region of Butte County north of the state capital, Sacramento. This year, it is the most devastating in the state's history.
In addition to Durst, Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland lost "a pedalboard, two guitars, two amplifiers, and various other equipment." It is unknown whether the items were in Durst's house or in another house that was also engulfed in flames.

Flea , from the Red Hot Chili Peppers , also suffered from the fires. His house, however, was saved by a neighbor. “My house could have burned down last night if it weren’t for my friend Eric. He defied evacuation orders and stayed up all night with only his knowledge and a garden hose. He put out all those little fires in my house and the neighbors’ houses, saving our butts,” he wrote on Instagram. “He is a brave, selfless, and caring man.”
