Guitarist says he's surprised by the invitation
The Danish band Volbeat has announced that Rob Caggiano, who recently left Anthrax, is the band's new guitarist.
Caggiano worked with the Danish trio on the production of the band's latest album, "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies," which is scheduled for release on April 9th.
Volbeat vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen announced that the band is very happy with the new addition. According to him, Caggiano's collaboration as a producer was so positive that the trio decided to invite him to join the band.
Caggiano says he's surprised by the new developments. He mentions that initially, the band had asked the guitarist to record some solos for the CD. Caggiano says the chemistry between the artists was incredible and that, although it wasn't his plan, everything seems to have fallen into place very well.
