The British band Buzzcocks returns to Latin America in May of this year for two shows celebrating the classics from their 49-year career.
The shows will take place on May 24th in São Paulo, at Carioca Club, and on May 25th in Curitiba, at Basement Cultural. Tickets are on sale at the official Fastix website.
“It’s my soul,” said guitarist and vocalist Diggle about a packed schedule of shows across Europe, which now extends to Brazil. “I still have the fire to play! Ever since I saw Bob Dylan in the back of a black cab in D.A. Pennebaker’s 1967 documentary, Don’t Look Back , I’ve always wanted to live that kind of life—being interviewed in the back of a black cab on the way to the movies, to the studio.”
The Buzzcocks achieved commercial success early in their career, opening for the Sex Pistols and releasing the trio of albums Another Music in a Different Kitchen (1978), Love Bites (1978), and A Different Kind of Tension (1979).
