The businessman also says that there are no bands like Metallica

During a panel at the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) in London, England, Metallica's co-manager Peter Mensch spoke about the group's popularity and importance.

“James Hetfield [Metallica's frontman] speaks to an audience that no one else can reach (…) That's one of the reasons why Metallica is so big. Nobody compares to them.”

According to Billboard , Peter went on to say that Hetfield's lyrics are "angry and that's Hard Rock: releasing your frustrations ." Speaking about Metallica's importance in the music world, he mentions that many bands strive for the success that James Hetfield and company have today.

“I get a lot of emails saying ‘We’re the next Metallica’ and then they send me their bad music. Nobody’s like them ,” he confesses.

The band recently confirmed several shows across North America that will take place during 2018 and 2019 to promote their latest album, Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.
