The vocalist recently had a cancerous tumor removed.

Iron Maiden 's manager , Rod Smallwood, has released a statement regarding Bruce Dickinson's health . See below:

“Bruce asked me to thank everyone for the tremendous support. He is touched and encouraged by the moving and genuine response from all the Maiden fans.”

Radiology is cumulative and remains in the body three weeks after treatment, so although Bruce completed the seven weeks of treatment, he experienced a long and considerable period of discomfort. He is happy and beginning to recover; the pain will continue to decrease and the swelling will continue to subside over the next few months, at which point he will be able to have an MRI. Only then will we be able to be sure that the cancer has been completely removed. Despite this, the prognosis remains excellent, and we are all optimistic for a full recovery. After the MRI, we will keep you updated on the official website, probably in May.

After that, it will still take a few months for Bruce to get back to his normal form. Naturally, the band has been very understanding and plans will be made according to Bruce's progress.

Please continue sending your good vibes. They are very valuable.”
