There were no serious injuries
The Dillinger Escape Plan announced today the cancellation of the remainder of their European tour dates after the band's bus was involved in an accident.
In a collision with a truck, thirteen people were injured and hospitalized. None of the band members suffered serious injuries, but all were taken to the hospital for testing.
A spokesperson for the band released an official statement explaining the accident: “On Saturday the 11th, The Dillinger Escape Plan and crew were driving to a show in Krakow, Poland, when their tour bus broke down and the driver had to pull over to the side of the road. A truck struck the trailer, which contained all of the band's equipment, before hitting the bus. No one is in critical condition, but the band and crew are being examined to determine the severity of their injuries. The remaining tour dates are cancelled.”
Guitarist Benjamin Weinman also commented: “All of our equipment was destroyed and we have injured people. We are unable to continue the tour now.”
