Last Friday, the 19th, Burning Witches released the video for their new single "Flight Of The Valkyries". Following the new industry trends due to social isolation measures, the visualizer invested in digital backgrounds that appear behind the band members and interspersed images of illustrations that tell a story full of symbols and mythology. Among these illustrations is the cover of the band's new album, where the members appear represented as warriors prepared for battle alongside what seems to be the image of a witch being burned at the stake. Check it out in this post.
“Flight Of The Valkyries” is the first single from Burning Witches’ upcoming album, The Witch Of The North , which is scheduled for release on May 28th. According to Blabbermouth , the Swiss/Dutch band’s fourth album is full of 1980s influences, such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Warlock , and others. The site also described the project as the metal band’s “most dynamic, intricate and powerful” album to date.
The Witch Of The North featured heavyweight collaborations in its creation. The album was mixed and mastered by none other than VO Pulver , one of the biggest names in Swiss metal, and produced by Schmier of Destruction , considered a titan of thrash metal. The project follows the album Dance Of The Devil, which was released in 2020 and reached the 22nd position on the German charts. Check out the complete tracklist:
