He also talked about his new supergroup, Sons Of Apollo
Guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal spoke with Romanian radio station Radio Romania Timisoara and discussed Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy
When asked about the album, Bumblefoot says that many people contributed to its creation and production, which transformed it into a work of art.
“It truly is a work of art. If you look at all the parts of the music, it's a lot. It's a delicate balance of various parts that worked together and functioned well. Caram Costanzo, the producer, spent 14 hours a day on the record; he's fantastic.”
The musician also spoke about plans for Sons Of Apollo, the supergroup formed by Jeff Scott Soto, Billy Sheehan, Derek Sherinian, and Mike Portnoy.
“They are five different people who, when put together, form something unique. You can hear their individuality, but together it's something bigger than ourselves (…) I put us all together in a room and said, 'Okay, make an album.' After a week and a half, that's what we did!”
Sons Of Apollo released their debut album Psychotic Symphony in October 2017 via InsideOut Music.
Bumblefoot joined Guns N' Roses in 2006 and played with the band for eight years.
