of Apollo guitarist and former Guns N' Roses Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal has released an instrumental solo track titled "Planetary Lockdown," which chronicles the tension of the race against the coronavirus during the band's European tour.

“It was early March 2020, on tour with Sons of Apollo in Europe, while the COVID-19 coronavirus numbers were rapidly increasing. We went through four shows of our 20-show European tour before we had to end everything, leave half of our equipment in storage and urgently go home. It was a race to get back as the door closed behind us. Europe was locked down. And within days, the world. This song was inspired by that feeling of urgency, that race…completed by social isolation, the song was aptly titled 'Planetary Lockdown',” explained the guitarist.

Regarding the technical aspects of the song, Bumblefoot reveals, "No guitar part was sped up or edited unnaturally – the solos were played in real time, using the Line6 Helix pitch delay effect.".
