This work will mark the band's sixth studio album

The metalcore band Bullet For My Valentine has revealed that they will release their first studio album since Venom (2015) and have released a new single to accompany the announcement.

“Over It” perfectly straddles the line between Metal and Hard Rock, featuring lyrics inspired by the frustration of trying to help someone and failing. The track marks the band's debut with drummer Jason Bowld and bassist Jamie Mathias, who have been with the group since their last tour but hadn't recorded with them in the studio until now.

“It’s a new direction, a more contemporary direction ,” said frontman Matt Tuck during an interview with Loudwire, “We want to incorporate new sounds and different ways of composing. It was very challenging but now that we’ve reached the end of the process, we think it’s killer!”

Gravity will be released on June 29th, and more details about the album, including its tracklist, will be revealed soon. In the meantime, check out the cover art and the first single from the new album below:
