A hardcore band that captures the essence of the genre while simultaneously offering a fresh, contemporary, clever, and insightful sound. Just a few seconds of Budang to reveal something truly special, from the inventiveness of the music and the speed of the vocals to the incredible guitar riffs.
Formed by Guilherme Larsen Güths (vocals), Vinícius Lunardi (guitar), Pedro Sabino (bass) and Felipe “Minhoca” Royg (drums) in Florianópolis in 2019, Budang has had an upward trajectory so far, having shared the stage with big names in the scene and released a handful of singles, four EPs and a split.
This Friday, the 10th, they are releasing their first album, Magia , which marks a new phase in their career. Produced by Rafael Ramos , the album is the first from their partnership with the Deck label and features 16 amazing tracks.
The themes touch on political issues and social inequalities, such as "Mágica," which deals with the "'contracting out' of the working class," and "Bolsonanny," about the attempted coup on January 8th. "I hope that everyone who participated in this barbarity is punished. As for the riffs, I wanted to achieve something like Speed , old-school Turnstile Nação Zumbi . But when everyone got together to work on the sound, it ended up having an RDP vibe, Minhoca's touch greatly improved the sound," commented vocalist Guilherme Larsen .
Simultaneously with the album, Budang is releasing the music video for the song "Mágica," directed by Jorge Daux .
