Bruno Valverde on Sepultura's tour: "I have to learn 15 songs in a day and a half."

Drummer will replace Eloy Casagrande in the band's shows across the United States.

Following Eloy Casagrande 's accident during a show Angra drummer Bruno Valverde was invited to replace his colleague on Sepultura and commented on the last-minute challenge in a conversation with Paulo Baron.

The interview took place in Los Angeles, where Valverde was already present to fulfill his concert schedule alongside Adrian Smith and Ritchie Kotzen Smith/Kotzen project .

When asked if he was ready for the shows, Valverde was honest. “I’m not quite there yet, I’m still learning the songs, I’m getting that muscle memory back, the drummers around here know what I’m talking about, to get some good stamina because the show is tomorrow. I have to learn 15 songs in a day and a half,” he said. 

A friend of Casagrande, the musician showed solidarity with the situation of the Sepultura drummer. "The worst thing [is for] Eloy, imagine what's going through his head in the middle of all this," he commented.
