Bruno Pompeo, vocalist and bassist of the São Paulo-based band Vodoopriest , died at age 42 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The news was shared on the band's social media, where they lamented the loss: "The worst news we ever wanted to have to give." The band members also used their personal profiles to pay tribute to the musician. See below.
Born Bruno Rubano Pompeo in São Paulo, he has been in the band since the beginning, but only took over vocals in 2018 after the departure of the original singer Vitor Rodrigues (ex- Torture Squad and Victorizer , current Tribal Scream ).
