Musicians performed at an event to celebrate the inauguration of the new US president.

Last Wednesday, January 20th, the inauguration ceremony of US President Joe Biden . The day ended with an event titled Celebrating America, in which the new president invited several artists to celebrate the date, including Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters.

Bruce Springsteen opened the event, performing in front of the Lincoln Memorial, one of the most famous monuments in the American capital, Washington. The song chosen for the event was "Land of Hope and Dreams". Watch the moving performance below.

Later that night, the Foo Fighters performed, and Dave Grohl took the opportunity to honor American teachers, recalling that his mother, Virginia, was a public school teacher. “Because of Covid, this year, our teachers have faced unprecedented challenges… To teachers everywhere, thank you. This is in your honor,” said the vocalist before singing “Times Like These.”
