Bruce Springsteen announces his first album in five years

The successor to High Hopes (2014) marks the return of the singer's solo project.

Bruce Springsteen has announced that he will release Western Stars , his first studio album in five years. Scheduled for release on June 14th, the album will feature thirteen new tracks, following High Hopes (2014).

According to international press reports, the first single, titled “Hello Sunshine,” is set to be released this Friday, the 26th. Western Stars also marks the return of Springsteen's solo project, without the support of the E Street Band , which has accompanied the musician since 1973.

On his Instagram account, Springsteen spoke a little about the new release: “This album is a return to my solo recordings and features characterful songs, guided by cinematic and stunning orchestral arrangements. It’s a jewel box in album form.”
