“A month ago, I wrote enough material for a band album,” Springsteen said
Bruce Springsteen won't release his new album Western Stars until June 14th. But he's already written enough material for a new E Street Band and said he'll be going on tour. The musician shared the news with Martin Scorsese at a Netflix event.
“I went seven years without writing anything for the E Street Band,” Springsteen said, according to Variety . “I couldn’t write anything for the band. So I said, ‘Well, of course… I’ll never be able to do it again.’”
He continued: “So, a month ago, I wrote almost an entire album for the band. It came out of nowhere. And it was good, you know. It made me very happy. I thought, 'Well, I'm not screwed, right? There will be a new tour!'”
Springsteen's last album of new material was Wrecking Ball , from 2012.
