Bruce Springsteen live concert download series showcases his performance from October 1975. The album Born To Run had been released less than two months prior to the show. Hype surrounding the record was building, and Springsteen had appeared on the cover of Time and Newsweek .
That same month, Carole King , Robert De Niro , Jack Nicholson , Peter Boyle , Neil Diamond , and others attended the performances. There were six shows in just four nights. A version of Carole King's "Goin' Back" is on the album. Springsteen had started playing the song at the show King attended.
Robert De Niro said that hearing Springsteen say “you talkin’ to me” on stage inspired the famous line from Taxi Driver David Bowie 's guitarist , Earl Slick, saw keyboardist Roy Bittan by the hotel pool and invited him to play on the album Wild Is the Wind .
