Bruce Dickinson, in a recent interview with ATMósferas Magazine , spoke about his thoughts on the exorbitant prices charged for music tickets. This highly controversial topic in the music industry always sparks good discussions.

This time, the conversation centered on the price of U2 at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Regarding this, Dickinson said: “If you want to go see a U2 show, I think it was $1,200 per seat in the sphere. I have no interest in paying $1,200 to see U2 in the world – none at all. One hundred dollars, maybe. But for me, what's important is trying to maintain, on the one hand, the right kind of tickets at the right price.”

In the interview, Bruce suggests that front-row tickets should be cheaper because those in the front row are the true fans who make the music market grow. Meanwhile, seats further back should have a different price for people who want to enjoy the show more comfortably with their spouse and family, suggests the Iron Maiden .

Ticket prices for Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden concerts

However, for Bruce and Iron Maiden's upcoming shows, the prices will not follow the logic suggested by the musician. Instead, the traditional prices will apply, with seats closer to the stage being more expensive.

“Promoters need to recoup their money somehow,” Dickinson concluded. “So it’s a delicate balance, but generally, ticket prices have skyrocketed. And some of the ticket prices people are paying, well, to me, it’s crazy. I would never pay that price, but I’m probably not a fan of that particular artist. People who are, maybe they think it’s worth it. I mean, certainly with my shows, we always try to keep ticket prices within normal limits. And the same with Maiden.”

During the interview, Bruce also discusses the very low fees paid by streaming services like Spotify . He also comments on the ever-increasing costs of touring. Check out both parts of Bruce's interview below.
