In a recent appearance on the Rich Roll , Bruce Dickinson commented a bit about the atmosphere in the band these days and how the band coped with his throat cancer diagnosis.

Bruce comments that the group, even today, refuses to follow trends or any kind of commercial pressure, adding (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET ): “We are, in a way, outsiders in the music industry. There are bands and bands, some more successful, others less so.”

“But [Iron] Maiden is something more, it’s part of the essence of life for an incredible number of people, of all kinds – from CEOs to people with special needs. Everyone seems to find something in the band. I don’t analyze or question that; it simply is. And that’s the result of who we are when we’re together.”

The vocalist, who recovered from throat cancer in 2015 , commented on the integrity and authenticity of Iron Maiden When I had throat cancer [a decade ago], the last thing I thought about was whether I would ever sing again. First I thought, ‘Will I survive?’ Only then did I think about singing.”

"And I was prepared to accept that maybe I couldn't sing with Iron Maiden again. I could vocalize differently, but if I couldn't sing the way Maiden needed me to, I would help find a great replacement, because music is sacred," Bruce commented.

Despite the singer stating that his voice “is a little different” in an interview with the Swedish program “Malou Efter Tio”, those who followed the last tour in his solo project The Mandrake Project (2024) know that Bruce can still reach high notes and deliver all the energy he always delivered in Iron Maiden shows.

Iron Maiden in Brazil

In December, Iron Maiden will be in Brazil, on the 6th and 7th, in São Paulo.

With their tour, The Future Past Tour , the band arrives for another brilliant tour of the country, playing classics that we haven't yet seen performed live here.

With their only two dates in the country sold out, the band will perform at Allianz Parque.
