Bruce Dickinson is back on stage with his recitation tour , in which he gives a lecture about his life and career and answers questions from fans. During a performance in Tampa, Florida, the musician had to choose the most underrated song in Iron Maiden .
According to coverage on the EonMusic , the response came without hesitation when talking about the B-side of "Run To The Hills," Dickinson's debut single with Maiden. "I'm a really big fan of 'Total Eclipse'," he said.
The singer also commented that the track “Gangland” was originally intended to be released as a B-side instead of “Total Eclipse,” but the band changed their minds and decided to include it on the tracklist of The Number of The Beast (1982).
“This sounds great! It’s so good we can’t put it as a B-side,” was the justification given for the change, according to Dickinson. “The song made it onto the album, but we forgot to mix in the guitar solos. There’s a part, around 2:24, that doesn’t have a guitar solo. To this day, I think we’ve forgotten about it!”
