Bruce Dickinson on his upcoming solo album: "I'm waiting for Uncle Joe to let me into America."

The Iron Maiden vocalist has been working on the project for at least five years.

After more than 15 years since the release of Tyranny Of Souls Bruce Dickinson may not be far off. In an interview with SiriusXM radio's Trunk Nation Virtual Invasion Bruce stated that he has been working on the project for about four years and is just waiting for the moment when he can go to the United States again to finalize it.

“I have an ongoing project [the album] that’s been on and off, it’s been on the back burner for three or four years,” he says. “And basically, since the pandemic happened, I may have had a lot of time, but I can’t go to the United States to work on it – finish the writing, start the recording process and everything else. I’m waiting for Uncle Joe to let me into America.”

It's no secret that Dickinson has been working on his solo album for some time. In 2015, he stated that he already had "half an album in the oven," and in 2017 he mentioned that the project would likely include a new version of "If Eternity Should Fail," the opening track from Iron Maiden Book Of Souls (2015) .

While Bruce Dickinson's solo project is still in the works, you can already check out Iron Maiden's new album , Senjutsu , which was released this Friday, the 3rd. To accompany the new release, Warner and Topsify have teamed up in a partnership and put together the Radio Iron Maiden playlist , featuring the band's greatest hits. Check it out:
