Bruce Dickinson saves injured turtle

Terri is doing well

Iron Maiden's lead singer Bruce Dickinson was the pilot responsible for transporting an injured and sick turtle to a sanctuary in the Canary Islands. Terri, the turtle, washed up on a beach in New Jersey with a cracked shell and an infection.

After an online crowdfunding campaign raised 8,000 euros for the animal's recovery, Dickinson transported Terri in his private jet at a reduced price to the sanctuary that had agreed to treat the turtle.

Terri needed a private jet to fly to the Canary Islands for veterinary reasons: she needs to fly at a certain time and at a specific altitude. The tortoise has already arrived at the sanctuary and is healthy.
