Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden and Roger Glover of Deep Purple perform in tribute to Jon Lord; watch

“Perfect Strangers”, “Hush”, and “When a Blind Man Cries” were some of the songs performed by Bruce Dickinson

Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover performed last Friday, November 5th, in Györ, Hungary. The show was a tribute to the legendary Deep Purple keyboardist, Jon Lord , who passed away in 2012.

Among the songs performed were some of Jon Lord's most iconic anthems, such as "Perfect Strangers," "Hush," and "When a Blind Man Cries," among others.

Guitarist Kaitner Z Doka , drummer Bernhard Welz , and the Győr Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Paul Mann , a close friend of Jon Lord, completed the tribute.

This is not the first time Bruce has paid this kind of tribute to Jon Lord. A self-proclaimed Deep Purple fan, the Iron Maiden vocalist had already participated in similar events in 2014 and 2019 .
