Bruce Dickinson , vocalist of Iron Maiden , and the bassist of his solo band, Tanya O'Callaghan , received an honor from the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both musicians received the keys to the city directly from Mayor Tim Keller .

The ceremony took place on August 26th, the date Dickinson performed in the city. On her social media, Tanya stated: “I was recognized for my work with various bands over the years (including Bruce) and also for my contributions to several global foundations. All of this fit perfectly with our time in Albuquerque. It was a wonderful day! A great honor,” she commented [transcription via Blabbermouth ].

Bruce Dickinson isn't the only artist who has received an honor from Keller. The American politician is known to be an avid metal fan. In 2024, he also awarded keys to members of Testament Possessed vocalist Jeff Becerra , and Max Cavalera .
