Bruce Dickinson says Iron Maiden will play the entire 82 minutes of 'Senjutsu' from beginning to end on their new tour

"No one is obligated to buy a ticket. If you don't want to see us play 'Senjutsu' in its entirety, just don't buy a ticket."

In an interview on the podcast “Talk Is Jericho” , Bruce Dickinson confirmed that Iron Maiden plans to play the new album Senjutsu in its entirety.

“Our plan — it’s really no secret, I think everyone’s already talked about it — we talked about playing the entire album from beginning to end, but not this time. And we know that some fans will probably love it and other people will say, ‘Hmmm, I’m not going to watch that.’ So the solution will be to play in smaller venues that will only be packed with the most die-hard fans.”

Dickinson clarified that the 2022 leg of the "Legacy Of The Beast" , which restarts in May in Croatia, will continue to focus on the classics, as it had been doing before the pandemic. This included the tour that passed through Brazil.

“The 'Legacy Of The Beast' is for the people who paid to see that show with our Spitfire plane on stage during 'Aces High,' the flamethrower during 'Flight of Icarus,' and everything else. But the first three songs will possibly be from the new album. The title track ['Senjutsu'] is a great opening song—so dramatic. And 'The Writing On The Wall' will be an excellent live song—a song for the audience to sing along to. You can already imagine. It will be fantastic.”

Regarding Maiden's anger at many fans for deciding to play all 75 minutes of the then recently released A Matter Of Life And Death on their 2006 tour, Bruce said: “Nobody is obliged to buy a ticket. If you don't want to see us play the new album in its entirety, just don't buy a ticket.”
