Bruce Corbitt was battling esophageal cancer
Bruce Corbitt , vocalist Rigor Mortis and Warbeast , died at age 56 on Friday, January 25. He had been battling esophageal cancer.
Corbitt was diagnosed in May 2017 and began treatment with good news about a potential recovery. He returned to the stage last year. However, Corbitt was later informed that the cancer had progressed to stage 4 and was terminal.
“I may not have won this fight, but I fought it longer than many could,” Corbitt said. “I have some extra time left in life. I couldn’t have done it without my wife, Jeanna Corbitt . The worst part for me is knowing that I will have to leave her.”
