The Browning considers this album to have the most dynamic sound of theirs
The Browning have just released their new album, Geist . They continue with their traditional mix of EDM and deathcore, however, as vocalist Jonny McBee commented, this album has a more industrial feel.
“My ultimate goal for The Browning is to be rock-metal-electronic-industrial. For this album, I knew we needed to make a big change. Not just musically for the audience, but for myself. That change had to come from the vocals. I’ve been working on a vocal style that could be powerful and melodic, but still extremely heavy and emotional,” McBee explained.
As a result, the vocalist believes Geist is the album with the “most dynamic” sound they’ve ever made. “Carnage,” for example, features rapper and DJ Jake Hill . “When I wrote the song, the only thing I wanted was for it to be as energetic and exciting as possible,” said the vocalist.
